Rainwater Observatory is located one mile east of the Natchez Trace Parkway at State Highway 413/French Camp (Mile Marker 181). There is a sign on Hwy. 413 indicating the Observatory entrance.

If you are traveling from Starkville/Ackerman, we are approximately 6 miles from the intersection of Hwy.12 and 413. If you enter the village of French Camp, you went too far.
