
Hands-On Educator Workshop at the Mid-South Astronomy Conference

at the Rainwater Observatory and Planetarium, 1 Fine Place, French Camp, MS

As part of the Mid-South Star Gaze and Astronomy Conference, a teacher workshop will be held on Saturday April 25 from 9:00 am until Noon at Rainwater Observatory. The clinician will be Dr. John Frassinelli of the Lausanne School in Memphis. This workshop will focus on sharing hands-on activities for teaching astronomy and space science. Teachers or anyone working with young people are welcome to participate.
CEU Credit Info
Teachers can receive 1 CEU credit for 10 hours of participation during the conference by attending 7 additional hours of lectures, talks and observing. 1/2 CEU can be earned with 2 additional hours of participation. A fee of $20.00 is required for obtaining CEU credit from the University of Mississippi. Space will be limited to 30 participants.
